Generator arrived and set up was pretty straight forward. I bought this following Hurricane Irene for future emergencies and wanted to decide to purchase what i believed would be a dependable machine...Incorrect. Pull string came out two inches and would not come out even more. Contacted Generac and they stated i had to have it repaired even challenging it was new they would not exchange it for a new one. Horrible client service. My nearby repair center told me that the only generator manufacturer they would NOT advise is Generac. Dozens of repairs quite a few of which on brand new out of the box machines, I wish I would have known, Generac sucks...Stay AWAY. As a side note, Amazon customer service was excellent, thank you Amazon.
I not too long ago purchased this item and had it shipped two-day. It arrived on time but when i got it out of the package the hande was severly scratched, the housing cover for the muffler was dented, and the fram was bent. Thanks UPS or Amazon warehouse workers for the lack of professionalism. If I didn't have it to survive through a hurricane Amazon would have had a return. The item itself is everythig Generac says it is. It will not do every thing but it will do sufficient. I powered a water pump, lights, 42 inch tv, fans. Its worked fine. Just read the specs and its clearly stats what it can do and how to preserve it. Particularly superior product, incredibly negative shipping standards
