Client Evaluations

I live in a subdivision exactly where the principal road has pine trees lining a little hill with the power lines below them. Regular we lose energy so out of frustration I bought one of these (elsewhere) - very same model. I have employed it 3 times thus far - maximum continuous time was for 13 hours. It particularly states in the manual not to run points like TV's without a filter mainly because it does not generate a sine wave (a thing like that)... Well - we had been seriously bored the night we implemented it the longest so I went ahead and hooked up the following:
Full Size Fridge/Freezer combo, Full size stand up freezer, modest fan, two lights, two satellite boxes, 1 42" LCD Television and 1 32" LCD Television. Small thing ran like a champ! Never noticed the light dim when adding added issues (TV's/Sat. boxes were the final added) or when the fridge or freezer cycled. Cranks up relatively effortless (every time it really is taken about three-4 pulls) and runs a decent 9 hours at least with the above (minus the TV's...filled it prior to bed time and it ran 9 hours and still had a quarter tank just about).
Couldn't be happier so far - total run time around 24 hours to date.
Only complaint would be the lack of wheels and the reality that if you add wheels you void the warranty. This sucker weighs in at around 100lb I believe EMPTY. Not what I'd truly call "transportable". Luckily I only have to move it about ten feet when I will need to use it.
Not only would I get it again, I've recommended it to family members members.

I bought a single of these generators in March of 2010 and put it in my back garage nonetheless in the box. Living in the Chicago location we just went 5 days with no power.(July 2011). I opened the box and the pet-cock had been broken in transport. I rigged up a gas tank off of my snow blower to the carb and started out it up. It took a couple of trys to get it going but then I ran it pretty substantially non-cease for 5 days with no issues. Having a smaller gas tank to use was a discomfort and I had to refill it each and every 90 minutes or so and it would run dry at night. Just after filling the tank again it began each and every time with 1 or two pulls. Use the choke and then flip it correct open once it is operating. For the first get started I had to use the choke and let it run a bit rough for about 45 seconds and then play with opening the choke to get it going. It runs at high revs all the time and I collect that is normal with the less highly-priced models.
All in all, for my purpose, i.e., to use during rare energy outages, it is a decent value. Do not know about the above critique rethe voltage regulator.
If I will need to use it again in the subsequent couple of years I will update this assessment.
